Iowa River Landing
Located just off I-80 Exit 242, Coralville's Iowa River Landing is the city's fastest growing area for economic and tourism development. With beautiful shops, unique restaurants including Vesta, local brewery Backpocket Brewing, and 30hop featuring a rooftop bar, it's an incredibly walkable and inviting area. It is anchored by the Coralville Marriott, the area's largest hotel and meeting facility. The Homewood Suites, a second lodging option, is also conveniently situated with great access to its neighbor, High Ground Cafe, offering patrons and hotel guests a good cup of local coffee.
Future plans include an arena and sports performance facility, two new hotels, and several mixed use buildings for housing retail. A new pizzeria and a Trader Joe's grocery store will be welcome additions in late 2017.
Enjoy the Sculpture Walk around the Landing, all of the 11 pieces featuring Iowa artists and based on a work in the Iowa Writer's Library, located in the reading library of the Marriott. Locally referred to as the IRL, this area is a gateway to this Collection of Curious Communities and offers a warm welcome all year round.
